hi and hello
as 2012 ends we can all look forward to a new year and new adventures. new years eve for me and toni is an early eat and then try to stay up as long as possible. this year i get to kid watch in glendale while the q’s find somewhere else to bring in the new year. just 
knowing i can be with some q kids will make 2011 a nicer one. cathie is having her own new years event and i get mention as she will show htv to some friends. what is htv? for christmas 1987 we got a vcr [thanks to the aguilera's] and htv was born. in the good old vcr days it was so easy to hit record and save something you watched. most people would find a new movie, record it, save it and most likely never watch it again. i went a bit further as i was happy to record only the good parts of movies [even bad movies have some almost good part] and filled up tape after tape. i would look for things to watch and share knowing the chances of seeing it again we slim. in mid 1988 i took a work holiday and must of taped every disney cartoon onto vcr’s. it was htv tape after htv tape. i have no idea as to how many were made, there are drawers cabinets and boxes filled with them. this year cathie randomly took some and will share them on new years. there is no other place a person in a few hours could watch parts of speed, earth girls are easy, a streetcar named desire, the outsiders, a face in the crowd, the scout, true lies, running man, a clear and present danger, total recall, thank god its friday [complete] and hard boiled all on a vhs tape [htv #702]. one of the great parts of htv is that while taping tv shows the commercials are there to remember too. i wonder what part of christine i taped on htv #746, christine killing or christine being killed? looking back at all the stuff i saved i am amazed. why do i waste time watching the same stuff on hbo now when i have htv and it has just about everything. thank you cathie for helping me to remember. signed: meken47.
